NextImg:Trevor May retires, immediately shreds ‘greedy’ A’s owner John Fisher in NSFW video

Trevor May may never have to buy a meal or drink in the Bay Area again.

While announcing his retirement Monday night following a nine-year career that ended with two seasons in Oakland, the 34-year-old reliever ripped infamous Athletics owner John Fisher.

“To the A’s organization and every single person part of it, I love all of you, every single one of you, except for one guy and we all know who that guy is,” May said during a stream on Twitch.

“Sell the team, dude. … Sell it, man. Let someone who actually takes pride in the things they own, own something. There’s actually people who give a s–t about the game. Let them do it. Take mommy and daddy’s money somewhere else, dork.”

May’s comments will earn him legendary status in the Bay Area. Fisher is one of the most disliked owners in sports and may be public enemy No. 1 in the Bay Area.

After years of failing to invest in the team – the A’s opened the year with a $56.9 million payroll, per USA Today – Fisher is now re-locating the team to Las Vegas.

May’s comments about “mommy and daddy’s money” refer to Fisher being the heir to the Gap fortune.

Athletics fans have called for Fisher to sell the team for years, and even hosted a reverse boycott during the season in which they chanted for him to “Sell the team!”

May said he ordered a “Sell” T-shirt, but it did not arrive in time for the stream.

May added that he struggled with “not eviscerating Fisher” during the season, but otherwise loved everything about playing with the A’s, the fans and his teammates.

May specifically chose to sign with Oakland to develop meaningful relationships, which he felt he did, but clearly his time playing for Fisher irked him.

“If you’re going to be a greedy f–k, own it. There’s nothing weaker than being afraid of cameras,” May said. “Do what you’re going to do, bro. You’re a billionaire, they exist, you guys have all this power — you shouldn’t have any because you haven’t earned any of it, but anyway, whatever.

“Reality is you got handed everything you have. And now you’re too soft to take any responsibility for anything you’re doing. … You’re putting hundreds if not thousands of people out of work that have worked somewhere for decades, and you haven’t acknowledged that at all.

“Be better, that’s all we’re asking. Just be a human being.”

May played for the Twins, Mets and Athletics during his career, and went 4-4 with a 3.28 ERA in 49 games for Oakland this past season.

The righty posted a 4.24 career ERA and averaged 10.4 strikeouts per nine innings.

“I am no longer playing baseball,” May said. “I am happy.”
