Travis Kelce might have to just shake it off when it comes to the trolls on social media clowning his game-day fit.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end was hearing it from some of his fans for the similarity between the outfit he showed up in for Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears — attended by rumored girlfriend Taylor Swift — and what a painter might wear.
Kelce was rocking a matching blue and white jacket and pants as he walked into Arrowhead Stadium, which the team captured and posted on X, formerly Twitter.
“Okay, Killa,” the team captioned the post, which featured a photo and an accompanying video of Kelce waving to cheering fans.
But some fans online couldn’t help but play the anti-hero and poke fun at the outfit.
“Yeah, my buddy is a painter. He’s got that same outfit,” @rickhoward25 wrote on X with a crying laughing emoji at the end.
“All that cash and he dresses like an out of work house painter lol,” another user wrote before adding “Go Chiefs” in the post.
“That’s what I look like after I paint my kid’s room,” another wise guy X user said.
“Must been painting at home and forgot the game was today,” X user @Cypher8269 joked. “He didn’t have time to change.”
While the painter theme was featured in a number of comments taking a jab at the outfit, there were plenty of others that linked it back to rumors that Kelce was seeing Grammy-winning singer Taylor Swift.
Swift was at Sunday’s game in Kelce’s suite and was captured sitting right next to Kelce’s mom, Donna, who she was caught chatting and laughing with.
The sports and pop culture world have been trying to figure out if the rumors that the NFL star and pop icon were indeed “hanging out” as had been reported.
Kelce, who scored a second-half touchdown fanned the flames last week during an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” last week.
“I threw the ball in her court,” Kelce said. “I told her, ‘I’ve seen you rock the stage in Arrowhead [Stadium], you might have to come see me rock the stage in Arrowhead and see which one is a little more lit. So, we’ll see what happens in the near future… Alright now.”
