Comedian Andrew Santino isn’t confident he’ll receive an invitation to the wedding of his pal Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and mega pop star Taylor Swift.
During an appearance on the “Pardon My Take” podcast on Friday, Santino explained that Swift is “controlling that guest list” when asked about the couple’s wedding.
“I doubt it. I mean, I highly doubt it dude,” Santino said. “I don’t think I got that invite. You know she’s controlling that guest list. I’m not on that list… Dude, Trav is my boy. I love him to death.
“Look, I will say this, I played golf with my old man two days ago and we FaceTimed him to say congrats. You know, look, maybe I’ll catch a bachelor party invite… we’ll see.”
Santino recalled Kelce telling him earlier this year that he wanted to propose to Swift.
“Him and I spoke when I had last saw him and he said he wanted to do it when we had golfed together in April or May and he said he was doing it,” Santino said. “But he didn’t say when. I don’t pry.”
Santino added that Kelce has a group of childhood friends that “will be there for sure.”
“He’s got a lot of dogs from Ohio that he’s loyal to the foil on that will be there for sure,” Santino said. “They grew up with him and everything. I’m an adult friend. Adult friends are different. We met later in life and I’m sure when they’re going down the list, she’ll get to Santino and be like, ‘Oh no dude.'”
Santino has been friends with Kelce for years, and they’ve appeared on each other’s podcasts.
Kelce and Swift announced their engagement Aug. 26 on Instagram, sharing a carousel of photos taken in a garden filled with pink and white flowers in the backyard of his Leawood, Kan. estate, Page Six confirmed.
Kelce, entering his 13th NFL season, popped the question to Swift after they filmed her record-breaking “New Heights” podcast episode together on Aug. 13, per Page Six.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” the couple captioned the joint post, which was set to her 2024 track — “So High School” — that’s inspired by Kelce.
The couple, who began dating in the summer of 2023, has remained quiet about their wedding plans.
An insider told Page Six that Kelce and Swift “are getting married next summer in Rhode Island. She is in a hurry to have children.”
