Travis Kelce doesn’t care who’s in the White House, he’s always up for a visit.
The superstar Chiefs tight end, who made the trek to Washington, D.C. with his teammates to celebrate their Super Bowl 2024 win with President Joe Biden, revealed on his “New Heights” podcast that whether it’s Biden or Donald Trump, he’d be thrilled to go for a fourth time in his career.
“It’s always an honor to go to the White House,” he told his brother and co-host, ex-Eagles center Jason Kelce. “I kinda mentioned it last time, any time I get a chance to be recognized by the President of the United States and get to go with my teammates and a group of men and women that I had success with to the point we get acknowledged… I’m doing it every time no matter who’s up there at the helm. No matter what’s going on in this world. It’s just such a cool opportunity.
“I think representing the Chiefs up there, I wanted to do that for the Hunt family and all our coaches. I wanted to make sure I remembered that and got all those pictures and memories in the bank with them.”
Kelce is dating pop megastar Taylor Swift, who stumped for Biden over Trump in 2020.
In his return to the White House last week, Kelce got to live out the dream he was stopped short of in his 2022 visit — when teammate Patrick Mahomes stopped him as he approached the lectern and said “So, I’ve been waiting for this…”
This time around, Biden invited him up and offered him the microphone.
“My fellow Americans, it’s nice to see you all again,” Kelce said to laughter from the crowd. “I’m going to be honest President Biden, they told me I’d get tased if I came up here, so I’m going back to my spot.”
Kelce is coming off an eventual offseason, flying around the world to take in Swift’s “Eras Tour” shows and getting a two-year contract extension that makes him the NFL’s highest-paid tight end.
Of course, that came after he and the Chiefs beat the 49ers, 25-22, in an overtime epic in which Kelce reeled in nine catches for a game-high 93 yards.
The Chiefs are slated to begin their minicamp next week — with their Swift-inspired 2024 schedule starting Sept. 5 against the Ravens.
