There just may be something to Taylor Swift’s presence impacting Travis Kelce’s performance.
The Chiefs tight end had another quiet game in Kansas City’s 21-14 win over the Miami Dolphins in Frankfurt, Germany on Sunday morning.
Kelce had three catches on four targets for 14 yards.
There has been more attention on the stadium suites at Chiefs games in recent weeks than what’s been happening on the field.
Kelce and Swift’s relationship has enveloped the NFL and created a Swift Effect.
Kelce’s jersey sales have spiked since rumors began to swirl over his romance with the pop icon in September, and that has extended to his play on the field.
Kelce’s game has gone up a notch in the four games that Swift has attended.
In those games, Kelce has 432 total receiving yards and is averaging 108 yards per game.
He’s also had two touchdowns and 34 catches in that stretch.
Which is a bit of a difference from the four games that he’s played in without her in attendance.
In those four games, the Kansas City tight end has 165 total receiving yards, two touchdowns and is averaging around 41 yards per game.
Whether Swift attends any more of Kelce’s games going forward is unknown, especially with her busy schedule.
Swift did not make the trip to Germany, but was out with some famous friends in Manhattan on Saturday night.
The pop singer was seen having dinner at Bond Street along with Brittany Mahomes, wife of Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, Selena Gomez, Sophie Turner, Gigi Hadid and Cara Delevingne.
One person who did make the overseas trip to see the Chiefs play was Donna Kelce, who has been enjoying her own time in the spotlight since her son started dating Swift.
