LAS VEGAS — The Jets front office shakeup continued on Wednesday.

Chad Alexander, the team’s director of player personnel for the past five seasons, is leaving to become the assistant general manager of the Chargers, a source confirmed.

Alexander will go to work for new Chargers general manager Joe Hortiz, who he worked with in Baltimore.

Alexander spent 20 seasons with the Ravens before joining the Jets in 2019 when Joe Douglas was hired as the team’s general manager.

Alexander is the second notable departure from the Jets’ front office in recent weeks.

Assistant GM Rex Hogan and the team parted ways following the season.

Hogan and Alexander were Douglas’ two closest advisers.

It will be interesting to see how or when Douglas fills these roles.

Typically, anything done in scouting comes after the NFL draft.
