Tommy DeVito is headed to New England.

The folk hero quarterback and New Jersey native was claimed on waivers by the Patriots on Wednesday, formalizing the end to his romantic run with his hometown Giants.

He will see his former team in Week 13 when the Giants visit Foxborough for “Monday Night Football.”

DeVito failed to make the Giants’ 53-man roster on Tuesday — an uphill battle given the club had Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston and Jaxson Dart’s names all written in permanent marker on its quarterback depth chart — but there was still hope he would end up as QB4 on the practice squad.

Not so.

Tommy Cutlets is at least guaranteed a roster spot in New England for the first three weeks of the regular season as a result of being claimed off waivers.

The 27-year-old went 17-for-20 with three touchdown passes in the Giants’ preseason finale against the Patriots, likely impressing his new team, which ended up being his last appearance for the team.

An undrafted free agent, DeVito set the town alight in 2023 by leading the Giants to three straight wins as their third-string quarterback after Daniel Jones and Tyrod Taylor got hurt.

The Italian Stallion and his agent, Sean Stellato, became local celebrities, with fans paying nearly $200 for DeVito’s autograph during his rookie season.

It couldn’t last forever.
