


Giants quarterback Tommy DeVito took a scary-looking hit late in the first half that forced him to be checked for a concussion, but after a brief exit, DeVito returned for the Giants’ first drive of the second half.
He was still being evaluated in the locker room at the beginning of the second half when the Saints opened with a touchdown drive to extend their lead to 14-6.
The Giants’ rookie quarterback sensation hit his head hard on the turf after he scrambled for 6 yards.
DeVito had been going to slide with the ball, but Saints cornerback Issac Yiadom came charging in and hit as he was beginning to go down.
DeVito was sprawled out on the ground after his head bounced off the turf.
He sat up pretty quickly after the play as Giants and Saints players began to push and shove in reaction to the questionable hit.
No penalty was handed out for the hit on DeVito and it did appear for a moment that he would remain in the game.

However, team medical staff took him off the field and he went to be examined inside the medical tent.
Tyrod Taylor finished the first half under center.
DeVito was visibly upset when he was taken out of the game, but he did head to the locker room early.
It was a rough first half for DeVito who has been sacked four times, going 9-for-16 with 73 yards and four rushes for 36 yards.
