Everything is clicking for Cody and Chloe.
New Jersey couple Nicole LoVerde and Tina LoCasto brought home baby Cody on April 1 last year, introduced the beautiful boy to the mini Golden Doodle, and filmed it. The heartwarming video garnered an astonishing 18 million views on TikTok.

Fast-forward a year later and boy and dog are besties, and more videos document that.
LoCasto said the idea for the first video was to simply capture the moment for friends and family.
“We were excited to introduce Cody to Chloe, whose been our dog for five years,” the NJ first-grade teacher explained. “She’s the type of dog who gets super excited when anybody comes into the house so we knew she would be excited to meet Cody. She also was super attached to me while I was pregnant so we figured there would be an instant connection.”

LoVerde and LoCasto — Staten Island natives now residing in Kenilworth — simply propped up LoCasto’s iPhone 11 on the nightstand and watched the magic happen.
The Golden Doodle “was just sniffing like. ‘Is this for me? Is he mine?’ LoCasto recalled. “And I absolutely lost it. You saw it in her face that this is her new best friend.”
Newfound fans from as far away as China and Germany began reaching out, the parents said.

For the past year, the couple — who say they have not made any money off the video — post follow-ups on TikTok of the boy and dog playing and sharing broccoli, beans, and blueberries.

“We just do it because we love to share it with friends and family. They look at Chloe like she is a human.”
Said LoCasto: “We don’t do it for the views. It’s kind of cool that people love dogs and babies.”
As for Cody? “He will always have that video. It will always be a special memory,” she said, choking back tears. “[Years from now] when he’s [at work] sitting in a meeting, he will always have that fun fact [that the film went viral] in his back pocket.”
