TikTok influencer Campbell Puckett, better known online as “Pookie,” was forced to apologize Thursday after photos of her emerged wearing an antebellum outfit while at an Ole Miss Greek event.

Puckett, who has 284,000 TikTok followers, addressed images posted to Reddit that showed the flight attendant-turned-influencer wearing a flowy white dress and pearls next to an unidentified man wearing a suit with a bowtie.

“I fully apologize for the harm this may have caused for some and take full responsibility,” Puckett wrote in an Instagram story about the images, which appeared to have been taken at a college party, with other students dressed in a similar fashion.

She explained that she was 20 years old when the photos were taken and “I didn’t fully understand the impact of my actions the way I do now, 12 years later.”

“Jett and I love sharing our lives with you and getting to know our community on such an intimate level,” she continued.

“Because we live our lives so publicly, everything is on the internet, even my mistakes.

“We hope to continue to bring you with us as we continue to learn and grow,” she wrote.

Users on Reddit, however, blasted the couple and their newfound fame.

“I don’t get how TikTok thinks this is someone to idolize?” the Reddit user posted.

Another wrote, “I don’t care if it’s common, old south parties are morally reprehensible. There are literally thousands of other ways to get drunk in college without cosplaying as a slave owner.”

Puckett and her husband, Jett, rose to fame on TikTok for Jett’s sweet reactions to her outfits of the day.

“Outfit is fire, Pookie,” Jett could be heard saying in one video, while he added in a separate TikTok that his wife was wearing a “quintessential Pookie outfit today.”
