NextImg:TikTok prankster appalls Italians with egregious pizza faux pas

It was an act of snack-rilege.

A clout-seeking cretin from the UK purposefully antagonized Italian pizza lovers after dousing a pie in ketchup during a trip to the boot — which resulted in an epic meltdown from the restaurant manager. Footage of the bozo’s culinarily illiterate act currently boasts millions of views on TikTok as well as angry comments from online pie-hards.

The stunt was part of an ongoing series called “p–sing off Italians,” in which TikTok prankster Ben Reid trolls Italians by intentionally committing food faux pas. These epicurean taboos dunking sandwiches in coffee and cutting pasta with scissors at the table.

For his latest culinary war crime, the apparent Sacha Baron Cohen wannabe decided to carpet bomb a pizza with catsup he brought in a portable squeeze bottle to an undisclosed eatery.

In the first part of the two-part pie defilement series, Reid squeezes copious amounts of the condiment onto a pie in a pinwheel pattern as a waitress looks on incredulously.

The clip ends with the manager overseeing the delicacy defacing before confronting the cultural Philistine.

Video two picks up with the incensed restaurant boss asking Reid what he’s doing. “Is this your ketchup?” the gourmand inquires while picking up the bottle.

The TikTokker acknowledges that the condiment is indeed his, after which — in a surprising move — the manager picks up the bottle and hurls it across the room.

The prank received an outcry of backlash from many pizza purists with one flabbergasted viewer writing: “I’m Italian and I wanted to yack.”

Another wrote, “I’m not Italian but I started crying.”

“I’m not Italian but this triggers me,” another appalled viewer wrote.

A fourth deemed the manager’s ketchup bottle toss an “appropriate response…”

However, other gawkers praised Reid for what they deemed an A plus prank.

“God bless u for pissing them off,” lauded one fan, while another wrote, “Your doing a great job man, keep up the great work you make me proud lol.”

Another thought this food taboo wouldn’t even be problematic if done in earnest as Reid had paid for the food.

Either way, Reid’s tone deaf stunt marks the latest in a long line of pranks geared toward antagonizing people for social media street cred.

Perhaps the most egregious offender is fellow Brit Bacari-Bronze O’Garro a k a Mizzy, who among, a tribunal’s worth of appalling and illegal antics, filmed himself walking into stranger’s homes.

The clod was subsequently arrested and charged with violating a Community Protection Notice he’d been issued last year, which stipulated that he shouldn’t trespass on private property,
