NextImg:Tiki Barber replacing Craig Carton in WFAN afternoon drive spot

WFAN is going in-house for its Craig Carton replacement.

The Post’s Andrew Marchand confirmed that Tiki Barber will co-host in WFAN afternoon drive alongside Evan Roberts after Carton departs the program at the end of the month to focus exclusively on his FS1 morning show.

Marchand previously reported that Barber was the leading candidate for the role, and with the finalization first reported by longtime New York sports scribe Gary Myers.

The 48-year-old Giants great currently hosts midday on WFAN with Brandon Tierney.

It is not yet known who will be Tierney’s new partner.

Jerry Ferrara, who played Turtle on “Entourage,” was considered as an outside candidate after he impressed WFAN when he filled in alongside Roberts for a show.

Earlier Thursday, after a report from Marchand, Carton confirmed that his final show at WFAN will be on June 30.

“I love Evan. It has nothing to do with Evan Roberts, nothing to do with anyone here,” Carton said.

“It has to do with my personal life and the opportunity I have to do a show at Fox Sports and FS1. WFAN is family to me. WFAN is everything to me. I’m a 30-plus year talk show host and radio is the only thing I’ve ever done well.”

He said that the grueling schedule of getting up at 2:30 am for a morning show while hosting afternoon drive at WFAN was taking a toll on him, and revealed that he is focused on being the best father he can while still trying to patch things up with his wife after going to prison for fraud.

Craig Carton confirmed he would be leaving his WFAN spot for a job at Fox Sports.

Carton also expressed gratitude for Chris Oliviero, the Audacy executive who oversees WFAN, for giving him a second chance to recover his broadcasting career following the prison stint.
