NextImg:Tiki Barber out in CBS NFL shakeup as he joins Giants’ radio team for season

Tiki Barber’s NFL game days will look mighty different this year.

The former Giants running back is joining the team’s radio broadcast, the franchise announced Wednesday, the same day Barber, 50, was noticeably left off CBS’s broadcast roster for the upcoming season.

The three-time Pro Bowler had served as an “NFL on CBS” game analyst since 2019.

Barber, a WFAN afternoon co-host on “Evan & Tiki” since 2022, will join Giants.com’s John Schmeelk as the new pre-and postgame co-host for Giants gameday broadcasts, WFAN and the Giants revealed Wednesday when announcing a broadcast partnership extension.

“I am really excited to be joining the Giants gameday radio broadcast team on WFAN. This organization has meant so much to me, professionally and personally,” said Barber, who was recently named a “Top 100” Giant of all-time.

“The Giants have a long history of legendary broadcasters and Wellington Mara always told them to call it like they see it because our fans know better. I look forward to providing analysis and insight that Giants fans appreciate.”

A second-round pick by the Giants in 1997, Barber spent his entire NFL career with the team before retiring at the end of the 2006 season.

As part of the CBS shakeup, Charles Davis will replace Barber in the booth alongside play-by-play man Andrew Catalon and analyst Jason McCourty.

JJ Watt will move from “The NFL Today” studio to a full-time game analyst role on the network’s No. 2 broadcast team, alongside play-by-play announcer Ian Eagle and sideline reporter Evan Washburn.

To kick off their broadcast extension, the Giants and WFAN will host a day of programming from the Giants Training Camp at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center on Thursday, with “Boomer & Gio” at 6:00 a.m. ET and “Evan & Tiki” at 2:00 p.m. ET.

It’s unclear what exactly led to Barber’s reported exit at CBS.

The Post reached out to CBS for comment.
