NextImg:Three porn stars reveal cheating truth

The popularity of the platform OnlyFans has spawned plenty of conversations about what is and what isn’t cheating in 2024.

The platform is pretty simple in premise: people can subscribe to see content from creators they love.

Some people create X-rated content which can be quite interactive, depending on the creator.

You can message, send requests and even video chat.

In some cases, it functions almost like interactive porn, and this is where the conversations of cheating get murky.

OnlyFans user Sharna Beckman said that she’d consider it cheating if her boyfriend subscribed to someone’s OnlyFans account. Handout

Is that cheating? Well according to the creators that make the porn, yes.

Sharna Beckman, who makes a living by making explicit content on the platform, said that she’d consider it cheating if her boyfriend subscribed to someone’s OnlyFans account.

“I think subscribing to an OnlyFans account is considered cheating. You are forming a relationship with these creators that, from your end, you think is real,” she told news.com.au.

Beckman said that if you’re purchasing explicitly videos from a person you’re creating a relationship with, you are doing the dirty on your partner.

“I think subscribing to an OnlyFans account is considered cheating. You are forming a relationship with these creators that, from your end, you think is real,” Beckman said. Handout

“If your partner does not know about it, then I 100 per cent agree that it is classified as cheating,” she explained.

Ultimately, Beckham said that she wouldn’t want her boyfriend to do it because the experience is too personal.

“Why would my boyfriend want to subscribe to another creator’s account when he can get that experience with me in real life?” she asked.

X-rated creator Mia Bailey said she considers it cheating if your partner doesn’t know you are viewing OnlyFans content. Instagram/MiaBailey

“If he was to subscribe to someone else’s account, I definitely wouldn’t be happy and would be confused about why he would want to. I would classify it as cheating as it would be behind my back.”

Similarly, X-rated creator Mia Bailey said she considers it cheating if your partner doesn’t know you are viewing OnlyFans content.

“For the men and women who pay for an account, it can be viewed as financial or cyber cheating,” she said.

Ms Bailey said it is different to porn because it isn’t just a visual aid; it is a personal experience.

“You don’t interact with the creators in a porn video,” she argued.

Bailey wouldn’t want her boyfriend to use it because it would be seen as cheating in their relationship.

“I believe in being faithful and devoted to your partner, and so does my partner. That’s just how we go about our relationship, but we are not judgmental of how other people choose to go about their relationship,” she said.

Ruby Drew, who also creates X-rated content, draws the line at him subscribing to other women’s accounts. Ruby Drew

Ruby Drew, who also creates X-rated content on the platform, said she’s fine with her partner looking at porn; but she draws the line at him subscribing to other women’s accounts.

“Honestly, I’m okay with my partner watching porn, but I wouldn’t be comfortable with him subbing to another girl’s OnlyFans,” she said.

Drew said she’d make an exception if they were watching content together, but otherwise it is a firm no.

“I think off is a much more personalised version of porn, and it would make me feel uncomfortable if he was paying money to watch a certain girl.,” she explained.
