Jets punter Thomas Morstead and defensive back Sauce Gardner appear to believe Mecole Hardman is a compromised messenger.

Hardman, the former Jets wide receiver, went on the “Pivot” podcast this week and unloaded on Gang Green, accusing the organization of being duplicitous with him during his short time there.

Without addressing Hardman by name, Morstead fired back.

“Be careful getting information from disgruntled former employees,” Morstead tweeted Wednesday morning.

“Getting beat out by a rookie free agent after being guaranteed millions of dollars is tough to deal with. Entitlement is a killer of opportunity. You have to earn it every year.”

The rookie Morstead is referring to was Xavier Gipson.

Gardner, in a since-deleted tweet, seemingly accused Hardman of leaking their offensive game plan to the Eagles.

“We ain’t gon talk about how our offensive gameplan got leaked vs. the Eagles tho,” Gardner had tweeted.

For what it’s worth, the Jets beat the Eagles, 20-14, that day, which would be Hardman’s final game with the Jets.

Hardman signed a one-year deal with the Jets worth $6.5 million last offseason, but received scant playing time as the team was thrown into a loop when star quarterback Aaron Rodgers tore his Achilles on just his fourth snap in the season opener against the Bills.

Hardman appeared in five games for the Jets, and was only targeted three times, notching one reception for six yards.

He was subsequently traded back to the Chiefs in mid-October, and wound up catching the game-winning touchdown from Patrick Mahomes to defeat the 49ers in the Super Bowl.

“It’s the lies and the way they handled me. I didn’t like it at all,” Hardman said of the Jets on the “Pivot” podcast. “You can’t do that to a player. A player that you paid at that. … I play one play, oh hell no. Something got to shake bro, like what we talking about bro.”
