Talk about living the life.

This woman and her husband live on a cruise ship for free — but there’s a catch.

Cruise ship living has been a part of Christine Kesteloo’s life for many years. She had the title of cruise director for many years and now accompanies her husband, who works as a cruise’s chief engineer.

The couple spends half their year on the cruise ship, traveling all over the world — and the other half is spent living in the Netherlands.

“We always have the same cabin that is assigned to Pete’s position on the ship, and in my opinion, we have the best cabin in the whole entire ship,” the US woman told the Mirror.

Room and board on the cruise don’t cost Kesteloo anything — and she’s able to enjoy the same perks as the crew, like alcoholic drinks for half off and internet access at a discounted rate.

She’s also able to enjoy the many amenities the guests have access to, like the pool, spa, and gym.

However — there is one part of the cruise that Kesteloo’s avoids because it’s frowned upon: the casino floor.

“I am not allowed to sit at a slot machine and play my heart until I win because it would look a little weird if I, as the wife of the chief staff engineer, won like a big jackpot. So I am not allowed to gamble on the ship,” she said.

Being a respectful cruise-goer, Kesteloo tries her best not to hog any of the amenities, like coveted lounge chairs by the pool.

“If the pool is packed, I make sure to get off and give the guests a seat, it’s just the right thing to do. I totally understand how to give guests the best time and I don’t think a crew member taking their seat is the right thing to do,” she said.

Kesteloo has built a following for herself on TikTok, sharing with her almost 1 million followers a glimpse at her cruise ship living life — and helpful tips for her fellow cruise lovers.

“Since we live on a cruise ship half the year, we celebrate a lot of our special occasions right on the ship,” Kesteloo is heard saying in one of her many TikTok videos that showed her and her hubby dressed up for their date night.

Other videos show fun a behind-the-scenes look at cruise ship living like ordering room service, exploring excursions, and going to the nail salon.
