As inauguration day fast approaches, this Palm Beach mansion comes with a prime presidential perk — guest access to Mar-a-Lago.
The estate, at 129 Woodbridge Road, is on the market for $14.95 million. It’s just a street away from Mar-a-Lago — and beside a home owned by the President-elect’s sister, Elizabeth Trump Grau.
The listing was first reported by the Palm Beach Daily News.
There are 13 homes on the street. In fact, all homeowners on it can enjoy guest privileges to Mar-a-Lago — pending an interview process and payment of annual dues, which are an average $22,750, plus taxes. Because the homeowners aren’t official members of the club, they don’t have to pay the hefty initiation fee, which can run up to a reported $1 million.
The residence is also directly across Woodbridge Road from two single-family homes acquired in 2017 under DTW Venture LLC and DT Venture 1LLC, which both share the Trump Organization’s mailing list. Around the corner, an oceanfront residence purchased in 2018 is also linked to the Trump Organization.
The seller is a trust connected to the late George J. Buff, III. The trust bought the home for $2.25 million in 2013. Last year, it listed first for $15.75 million before being temporarily taken off the market for a rental. It hit the market again on Jan. 15.
“Raising a family here, alongside my father and my son, has been an incredible journey. As life has evolved — my father’s passing and my son forging his own path — we feel it’s time to pass this special home to someone who will appreciate the community and lifestyle we’ve loved so much,” George J. Buff IV told Gimme Shelter.
It’s the only street on the island with this “declaration of use” agreement with the club, which sits on 17.5 acres, thanks to a deal that Trump and Mar-a-Lago made with the town in 1993, according to reports.
Many homes on the street are owned or rented out to people connected to Trump and Mar-a-Lago — including his family members, guests, staff and the US Secret Service.
The street is also within a security zone that is closed to through-traffic when Trump is at the club, which was formerly a private mansion owned by cereal heiress Marjorie Post.
The mid-century, two-story modern home comes with five bedrooms and six baths — and stands quite close to the ocean. Built in 1972, it opens to a large foyer and living room, with pocket sliding doors leading to a patio that overlooks a pool. There’s a main bedroom suite on the first floor and another one on the second floor.
There’s also a one-bedroom, two-bath, two-story guest house that also overlooks the pool.
The estate sits on a third of an acre and features hurricane-impact windows and a security system.
