Jeopardy contestant Sharon Bishop stunned viewers at home after she gave, not one, but two very incorrect answers during Friday’s (July 28) episode.

She started off on the wrong foot with the very first clue of the show, which read, “In 2014 Decatur, Texas rescheduled this holiday back to the 30th, as it conflicted with Friday Night High School Football.”

The Spanish teacher hailing from Pawtucket, Rhode Island, was the first to buzz in with her answer: “What is football?” The actual answer, however, was Halloween.

But that wasn’t the only head-scratching guess Bishop gave during this episode. In another round, the clue read: “Sifan Hassan holds the women’s world record in this track event: 4 minutes, 12.33 seconds.”

Bishop replied, “What is the 50-yard dash?”

After the other contestants failed to buzz in with an answer, Ken Jennings remarked, “I think a couple of us could do the 50-yard a little faster than that. That’s a mile she’s running there.”

Despite her mishaps, multiple fans at home tweeted that they were rooting for Bishop.

She ended the show in second place with $9,999, and actually could have won if she had managed to guess the Final Jeopardy question correctly. Unfortunately, she wasn’t well-acquainted enough with gonzo journalism to nab the win, and couldn’t correctly answer “Theories on the origin of this, a style of journalism, include Cajun slang for unhinged jazz & Boston slang for a person on a bender.”

“We laughed a lot at this, but Sharon ended up being really sharp and absolutely would’ve won if she could’ve answered final correctly (she had the lead going in). I got super mad at her for blowing it at the end lol,” one fan tweeted.

“I feel bad b/c she was clearly in ‘deer in the headlights’ mode here, but her response is just objectively hilarious,” someone else noted.

Contestant Lucas Partridge won the show with $24,000, bringing the total earnings of his three-day winning streak to $66,200. He is now set to return in Season 40 to continue his winning streak.

Jeopardy! airs weeknights at 7/6c. Check the website for local listings.
