The New York Times, Tuesday
vs.
The New York Times, same day
We say: The Gray Lady stealth-edited its accurate description of Hamas terrorists to read “gunmen.”
No: Hamas killers are ideologically motivated; their atrocities against soft targets are meant to strike fear into Israeli civilians.
In other words, they’re terrorists.
The Times after much public outrage flip-flopped back to the right word — which proves the paper knew all along it was distorting the truth.
This statement:
“Thank God we have the steady leadership of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris during this unthinkable time.”
— Doug Emhoff, Wednesday
We say: The one thing Team Biden-Harris’ leadership isn’t? Steady.
The duo’s endless, humiliating verbal fumbles reflect the wider chaos of their policies on everything from the economy to the border to the Israel war.
Emhoff’s married to the veep, so he’s kissing up to his wife and her boss here — and making himself a huge liar in the process.
This claim:
“Hamas mainly attacked military establishments. . . . And most of the people they have arrested and taken as war prisoners . . . are military people.”
— Mustafa Barghouti, Sunday
We say: Slaughtering kids at a rave is an attack on a military establishment? What about beheading toddlers? Burning women to death?
Famed Palestinian activist Barghouti’s CNN-aired falsehood is monstrous — proof positive he’s not the humanitarian he paints himself as.
This tweet:
We say: Lander’s right about terrorism.
But we’ll repeat it for the umpteenth time: There is no occupation of Gaza.
Israel unilaterally withdrew in 2005; Hamas has been in total control there since 2007 after a brutal struggle with rival Fatah.
To say otherwise is to rewrite history.
