It takes a lot to shake Joy Behar on The View, but Alyssa Farah Griffin somehow managed. This morning, the co-hosts discussed President Donald Trump‘s Jan. 22 interview with Sean Hannity, in which he discussed the Jan. 6 pardons he issued for insurrectionists and his plans for his second term.

While Behar scoffed at Trump for “feeling sorry for himself” while telling Hannity that he “went through hell” fighting numerous legal battles the last few years, and co-host Sunny Hostin reminded viewers that the president had eventually been convicted on 34 felony counts, Griffin struck a different tone.

The co-host and one-time Trump White House employee, who said she watched her former boss’ interview with Hannity, admitted she didn’t “love” that Trump is back in office and has “some real fears about things that he’s telegraphing.”

“My biggest gripe with him has been, there are things that he is good at and that the American people trust him to be good at, like the economy, securing the border, and yet he always gets pulled back into these past grievances,” she said.

Griffin continued, “He wants to relitigate Jan. 6, he wants to go after Joe Biden. I wouldn’t be surprised if he starts talking about Hillary Clinton next.”

While Griffin said, “You need a president who’s forward looking,” she noted, “We live in split-screen America. Right now, our liberal friends are upset, they’re spiraling, they’re concerned, they’re scared. And then, half of the voting public is very excited that Donald Trump is back in office.”

Griffin even claimed that thee “75 million Americans who voted for him” are “out there … calling him ‘daddy.'”

She added, “They’re saying, ‘daddy’s back.’ That’s weird,” and her co-hosts seemed to agree.

Hostin chimed in with disgust, “It’s weird!” while Behar was aghast, exclaiming, “Daddy’s back? What? Daddy’s back?

Turns out Griffin wasn’t exaggerating. Just days ago, Rep. Byron Donalds declared
“daddy’s back” while speaking about President Trump with Fox News on Sunday (Jan. 19). And as The Root points out, even Roseanne Barr and rapper Tom MacDonald created a song honoring Trump titled — what else — “Daddy’s Home.”

The View airs weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
