Joy Behar is disappointed in Dr. Phil McGraw for endorsing Donald Trump for president.

The television personality, who sat down for a controversial interview with Trump earlier this year, officially threw his support behind the former president when he made a surprise appearance at his Madison Square Garden rally over the weekend.

“By the way, what was Dr. Phil doing there? That is a major disappointment!” Behar fumed on this morning’s episode of The View, while Alyssa Farah Griffin added, “He went after diversity. He literally got his job because of Oprah [Winfrey], a woman who excelled as a Black woman in media.”

Griffin was, of course, referring to McGraw’s remarks about his Merit Street Media company, which he launched earlier this year.

“By the way, we didn’t choose the name for that by random — Merit Street Media,” he said at the rally, per Parade. “This country was built on hard work, added value and talent, not on equal outcome, not on DEI. This country was built on hard work.”

McGraw, who lost his license to practice psychology in 2006, wasn’t the only one to anger Kamala Harris supporters with his comments at the rally. Other comedians and MAGA followers came under fire for making offensive remarks about Puerto Rico and women.

According to Sara Haines, such “off-color jokes” and “locker-room talk” is “not going to appeal” to female voters.

“You’ve now pissed off every woman, Black people, LGBTQ+ voters, Puerto Ricans, don’t forget the drag queens, Jews, you name it!” Haines fumed.

However, Whoopi Goldberg speculated that Republicans are simply feeling intimidated by Harris. “You guys are pooping your pants because you’ve got a strong woman who’s laying out all of what she wants to do and you couldn’t do it,” she said.

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
