It’s less than two weeks until election day, and Joy Behar is exhausted. The View co-host didn’t censor herself whatsoever this morning while discussing Donald Trump, comparing some of his words to Hitler’s and admitting that she “doesn’t know what to say anymore” if people are still backing the Republican presidential candidate.
Her commentary came during a discussion about a New York Times interview with John Kelly, who used to work as Trump’s chief of staff. Kelly told the Times that Trump commended Hitler for doing “some good things” more than once, and that his former boss “never could wrap his arms around why people would serve the country in uniform.”
Behar was disgusted with Kelly’s admissions about Trump, telling her co-hosts, “I don’t even know what to say anymore. If people still follow this fascist pig, then I don’t know what else to say, I really don’t.”
She continued, “It’s like, how many times do we have to hear him referring to immigrants as animals? And Hitler called cleansing Germany of all those ‘parasites,’ referring to immigrants, and he called Jews ‘lice,’ and this guy, Trump, calls people ‘vermin.’ It’s the same language that Hitler used, OK?”
Exasperated, Behar asked, “How many times do we have to hear him say that John McCain was not a hero because he was captured, or that people who serve in the United States military — my father, my uncles, WWII — how many of us have relatives that served in WWII that preserved democracy in this country?”

After applause from the audience died down, Behar proclaimed that she was sick of hearing from Trump supporters: “I don’t wanna hear from these people anymore, because they’re just either ignorant or willfully ignorant at this point. It’s absolutely crossed the line for me now.”
The View airs weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
