The View‘s upcoming Season 27 might not look the same to its faithful fans who have been tuning into the Hot Topics table since its premiere in 1997.

While all six co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Ana Navarro, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Alyssa Farah Griffin, and Sara Haines are returning, they’ll be exchanging hot takes on a brand new set — and at a brand new table — per Entertainment Weekly.

No details have been disclosed surrounding what the new set and table will look like, so those eager to see the set makeover have to tune in when The View returns.

Another new Season 27 addition involves an expansion of The View‘s companion podcast, Behind the Table, which was launched in September 2021. The podcast will now offer daily episodes, beginning on Sept. 4 with an interview of Griffin following her first year as a panelist.

The View‘s official X (the platform formerly known as Twitter) account posted a sneak peek of Griffin’s interview with executive producer Brian Teta, during which she explained that “when the seat became available,” everyone told her to “put [her] name in for it,” but eventually warned her to “be careful.”

“It might look scarier from the outside, if that makes sense” she said. “The advice that I got from friends, from former colleagues, from our bosses, was ‘don’t shy away from sharing the truth as you know it.'”

According to EW, The View was the top-rated broadcast between network and syndicated daytime talk shows and news program by the end of its last season, which wrapped up on Friday, Aug. 4.

The View returns to ABC on Sept. 5 at 11 a.m. ET. Previous seasons of The View are streaming on Hulu.
