The View

The View was appalled by the revelation that Donald Trump sent Covid-19 tests to Russia at the height of the pandemic, which was reported in journalist Bob Woodward’s new book, War.

While Trump has denied the claim — telling ABC News that Woodward is “a storyteller. A bad one. And he’s lost his marbles” — The View was disgusted by it, especially co-host Joy Behar.

“If we have another pandemic he’ll probably send the stuff to North Korea!” Behar exclaimed. “The thing about this is, during the Covid pandemic the blue states didn’t support him. So he didn’t want to send the tests to the blue states, Trump. He’ll do that again, by the way.”

She continued, “He’s already signaled that he’s not gonna help the blue states in case there’s a hurricane or something. You didn’t vote for him, he’s not gonna help you because he’s only the president of the red states who voted for him.”

Behar then told the panel,”By the way, the Kremlin has confirmed that he sent the Covid tests to the Kremlin when Americans were in need of the Covid tests,” referring to a statement from Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov shared with Bloomberg.

She ended her remarks by asking, “Now that is, I believe that that is the definition of a traitor, am I wrong?”

Sunny Hostin immediately replied, “No,” while Alyssa Farah Griffin, who was working in the Trump administration as Covid ripped through the country, said she was shocked by Woodward’s reporting.

The former White House employee admitted, “This one blew my mind,” telling the panel that Trump “rarely” attended the coronavirus task force meetings she went to every day. “I can probably count on one hand how many times he did, and we had them every single day,” she shared.

Griffin also noted that Trump allegedly sent the tests in May 2020, at “the height of the pandemic” when “there was a massive shortage of testing in America.”

“I’m all for helping out allies when we have excess and they have needs,” she said. “We did not have excess, and this is our adversary.”
