The View is laughing about Donald Trump‘s latest campaign gaffe, but under the smiles there’s also a ripple of fear. The Hot Topics table kicked off this morning’s episode with a chat about Trump’s disastrous Pennsylvania town hall, which included two medical emergencies in the crowd a lengthy playlist that he swayed along to onstage for over 30 minutes.
The View played a supercut of Trump dancing to tracks like “Ave Maria,” “YMCA” and “Nothing Compares 2 U” with time stamps indicating when the songs played at the town hall, which took place last night (Oct. 14) in Oaks, Pennsylvania. By 57 minutes in, Trump was still moving back and forth to music onstage.
After the clip ended, Joy Behar took a shot at Trump’s dance skills, quipping, “Doesn’t he know any other steps besides this?” as she unenthusiastically moved her hands in an impression of the former POTUS.
Whoopi Goldberg, meanwhile, struck a more serious tone as she told the audience, “This should freak everybody out.”
“This should really freak everybody out,” she repeated. “Fifty-seven minutes, right? Fifty-seven minutes of him playing music, not saying jack-doo about anything that has to do with what’s going on in the world. This freaked me out. He’s freaked me out a lot, but this really upset me.”
As for Behar, she dragged Trump for barely answering questions at the town hall and responding to queries about affordable housing with talking points about drilling oil.
“The guy doesn’t know the difference between a rally — or whatever that was — and Dancing with the Stars, basically,” Behar said.

When Alyssa Farah Griffin offered her take, she admitted that she thought the clip of her former boss was a “deep fake,” before comparing his “Por Ti Volaré” moment at the town hall to one of the most beloved scenes in Step Brothers in which Brennan (Will Ferrell) sings the same song at the Catalina Wine Mixer.
While admitting that the town hall moment was “hilarious,” Griffin said it ultimately posed a “serious” issue.
“This is not even the man I worked for who had all sorts of problems then,” she said. “There’s a very real decline.”
