The View‘s producers were quick to censor Whoopi Goldberg on this morning’s episode of the hit daytime talk show after she said something about … balls?
Former White House staffer Cassidy Hutchinson appeared on the episode to promote her new book Enough. Hutchinson, who grew close to co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin while working under Donald Trump‘s administration, is one of the few ex-employees who testified against the controversial president at the Jan. 6 hearings.
“You chose to speak out at risk of your career, your community, even your life,” Griffin pointed out, referring to the death threats Hutchinson received after testifying. “Something that has struck me in the post-Trump era — may that be here soon — is it’s women that are speaking out, whether it’s Liz Cheney, whether it was you, Sarah Matthews is in our audience — also testified before Congress against Donald Trump.”
When Griffin asked why she thinks “so many men” have refused to step up, Goldberg muttered, “No balls,” under a cough, before getting censored by producers for several seconds. As the audio returned, the longtime moderator covered her mouth and apologized.

Before we knew it, it was back to business as usual.
“I can’t speak to the psyche of the men who have either willingly defied their own subpoenas or have had convenient lapses of memory throughout this process but it does seem to me that the women are willing to step forward,” Hutchinson said. “And the women are the people that are willing to say, ‘Enough.’ We have to at some point say, ‘Enough is enough.’”
Moreover, Joy Behar speculated that many men haven’t testified because they are “so scared to lose their jobs.”
“Men have been running America since our founding and it’s not going that well,” Hutchinson declared, before later adding, “We also need to have collective conversations as a nation to elect responsible people to office — to elect more women to office.”
The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
