It looks like Joy Behar is adopting a much more candid approach to interviewing guests on The View.
Tuesday’s (Oct. 24) broadcast of the talk show featured an interview with Capitol officer Harry Dunn, who was present at the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection. Dunn visited the show to promote his new memoir Standing My Ground, but his interview with Behar and her co-hosts took a hilarious turn when she asked a question about former President Donald Trump, who is still facing criminal charges related to the riot.
“What if Donald Trump wins again, would you…” she began asking, until the audio cut out before she could finish her statement.
Though it’s unclear what the rest of her statement was, the View hosts were laughing when the audio resumed.
Alyssa Farah Griffin was the first to respond, saying, “[You’re] gonna need a stiffer drink.” Farah Griffin should know what a second term for Trump would look like, considering she previously worked in his cabinet as a special assistant to the president and press secretary to VP Mike Pence.

Dunn seemed to agree. “You got anything stronger?” he joked, before his audio also cut out again. But his answer to Behar’s question seemed to be safe enough, as he answered, “I always said I’ll address that issue when we cross that bridge, but I hope we don’t get to that.”
It appears that his answer was partially censored during the live broadcast, per Entertainment Weekly, but was left as-is when the segment was shared on the show’s social media.
Dunn, who is still on the Capitol force, received a Presidential Citizens Medal for the role he played during the Jan. 6 riots. He also testified about the events of that fateful day.
Behar later praised Dunn for the work he’s accomplished since the insurrection.
“We need heroes like you all the time,” she said.
The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
