It looks like Sheryl Underwood, Amanda Kloots, Jerry O’Connell, Akbar Gbajabiamila and Natalie Morales will be looking for new jobs later this year. CBS confirmed earlier today that The Talk has been renewed for a 15th and final season, which will officially wrap the long-running daytime talk show in December 2024.
CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach and CBS Studios president David Stapf announced the news in a joint statement obtained by Deadline.
“The Talk broke new ground when it launched 14 years ago by returning daytime talk to CBS with a refreshing and award-winning format,” they said. “Throughout the years, it has been a key program on CBS’ top-rated daytime lineup as it brought timely, important and entertaining topics and discussions into living rooms around the globe.”
After expressing “sincere gratitude” to the current co-hosts as well as executive producer/showrunner Rob Crabbe and the rest of the crew, the statement added, “We also want to acknowledge our former show hosts and colleagues who contributed throughout the seasons. We truly appreciate the skill, creativity, and dedication everyone involved brought to the show every day.”
They promised to “celebrate the show” with “the proper sendoff it deserves when it concludes in December 2024.”

Deadline reported last month that The Talk’s future was up for debate after CBS announced its plans to develop a new soap opera called The Gates. While The Talk is the third most-watched daytime talk show behind The View and Live With Kelly and Mark, the show was still the lowest-rated title on the network’s daytime lineup, according to Deadline.
The Talk first began airing in 2010 with Julie Chen, Leah Remini, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Holly Robinson Peete and Marissa Jaret Winokur as hosts. Throughout its run, the series has won 11 Daytime Emmy Awards, a People’s Choice Award and the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Talk Series, per Variety.
