Prime Video has issued a reminder to fans to “keep the conversation kind” online ahead of the premiere of The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3.

The show’s official social media accounts set “community guidelines” that states the show has a “ZERO tolerance policy for bullying and hate speech,” just days before the third and final season of the show is set to premiere on Prime Video this week.

“Cousins is our safe place,” a statement shared to the series’ social media accounts Monday read. “Everything good, everything magical. Let’s keep the conversation kind this summer.”

Tacked alongside the statement was a set of community guidelines for the show that warned fans risk being “banned” if they engage in “hate speech or bullying, targeting our cast or crew,” and “harassing or doxxing members of the community.” However, the statement did not specify what fans will be banned from, exactly.

On X, one user asked the show’s account what they meant by the “community,” to which the account replied, “All of us talking online about The Summer I Turned Pretty are the community.”

The Summer I Turned Pretty is now the latest television show to remind viewers to treat the cast and crew with respect amid online discourse. Love Island USA issued two such warnings throughout Season 7, saying the contestants deserve “respect and kindness” for participating.

The final season of The Summer I Turned Pretty could be quite controversial depending on how it will bring Belly, Jeremiah, and Conrad’s love triangle to a close. Jenny Han, who authored the bestselling series and is an executive producer on the show, teased the final season will include some changes compared to her books.

“There are surprises,” she told Entertainment Weekly. “And there are things that aren’t exactly like the books.”

She maintained that the show will still have a “satisfying” ending for both Conrad and Jeremiah.

“A successful love triangle is one where, no matter what happens, people are going to be devastated and heartbroken,” Han said. “Because if the answer feels really clear and easy, then there’s no real conflict. No matter what you do, someone’s going to be hurt by it.”

The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 premieres on Prime Video Wednesday, July 16.
