After John Cena’s shocking heel turn at WWE Elimination Chamber, The Rock has some big plans.
The unexpected superteam, who joined forces on Saturday night in Toronto at the last WWE Premium Live Event before WrestleMania, stole the show on what was a stacked card.
Music superstar Travis Scott has also been involved in the build up to WrestleMania, aligning himself with The Rock and slapping Cody Rhodes at Elimination Chamber after Cena turned on Rhodes.
Fightful Select reported that Scott is training at a WWE legend’s pro wrestling school and a match could be coming in the near future.
The Rock himself hinted at this at the press conference following Elimination Chamber.
“I love Travis. That’s my guy,” The Rock said. “Where we have expanded to, I think, in WWE — I feel like professional wrestling has always found its unique place in culture throughout the decades. I grew up in the business. We remember Rock N Wrestling, Cyndi Lauper, Hulk Hogan, we remember the Attitude Era, etc. Professional wrestling has had its place in culture for some time.”
He continued, “I think we are tapping in to a unique time now, I’m not quite sure what we name this era, we’ll all figure it out. Someone will come up with something cool, I’ll say it and take credit for it.
I feel like with Travis, he loves the business and loves pro wrestling. He’s a culture guy. Travis Scott is one of the greatest already, of all time. He’s a GOAT, he’s a legend, he’s an icon, he loves the business. We get guys and girls like that who want to come in and who are already tapping into the culture and disrupting culture in their own cool way. They want to come in, they want to have fun at the show.”
The Rock added that while some celebrities want to just be part of the show in a distance, Scott seemingly wants to have a deep involvement.
That was evident Saturday as Scott — who appeared with Jey Uso during WWE Raw’s Netflix debut on Jan. 6 — accompanied The Rock to the ring.

“Maybe they want to sit, maybe they want to enjoy, maybe they want to be on camera. But then some want to get involved. Some, like Travis, deeply want to get involved,” he said. “That’s what you saw tonight. We have this opportunity to create this big moment in pro wrestling that is arguably one of the biggest — maybe the biggest, some fans’ words, not mine — and we also had an opportunity to bring Travis Scott in too and start to form a union, an alliance with The Final Boss and Travis Scott.
“He wanted to get, to steal a term, he wanted to get his hands bloody,” he added. “I whispered to him as we were going out, ‘if you get your hands bloody, make it count. Make it count.’ He slapped the s–t out of Cody tonight. He was really, really hyped up. When Travis landed, we went in, had some words, chopped up what the night was going to look like, and I caught a contact high for about three hours, it was crazy, and I loved it. I need Travis every time I do an appearance.”
Cena won the men’s Elimination Chamber and will challenge Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 41 in April.
WrestleMania 41 has been hyped up as Cena’s final one, and is recognized as a record 16-time World Champion by the WWE, meaning a win over Rhodes would break the tie between him and fellow wrestling legend Ric Flair.
