The Righteous Gemstones will resume production on Season 4 following the recent deal that was reached between SAG-AFTRA and studios in response to the actors strike.
Adam Devine, who stars as Kelvin Gemstone in the comedy series, posted a photo to Facebook featuring some of the cast and crew, revealing that they are “gearing up” to shoot.
The popular HBO comedy series was renewed for a fourth season back in July, just before the Season 3 finale aired.
In addition to Devine, the series, which centers on world famous televangelist family the Gemstones, stars Danny McBride, John Goodman, Edi Patterson, Walton Goggins and Jody Hill among others.
Season 4 will pick up where Season 3 ended. The Season 3 logline reads: “When the spoiled Gemstone children finally get their wish to take control of the Church, they discover leadership is harder than they imagined and that their extravagant lifestyle comes with a heavy price.”
Created and written by McBride, the series is executive produced by McBride, Hill and David Gordon Green, who all take turns directing various episodes. John Carcieri, Jeff Fradley, and Brandon James also executive produce, with Jonathan Watson co-executive producing.
David Brightbill produces the series alongside consulting producers Kevin Barnett, Patterson, and Chris Pappas.
