The Real Housewives of Orange County just lost a fan favorite. Taylor Armstrong, who made her debut on the long-running reality show’s most recent season as a “friend of,” announced that she would not be returning for Season 18.

Armstrong revealed the sad news in an Instagram post on Wednesday night (Nov. 29).

“Loved spending time with the ladies of #RHOC and thankful I got to give the viewers an update on my life,” she captioned a series of photos. “I’ve made some real friendships that I cherish. Wishing the ladies all the best for season 18.”

Armstrong cheekily added, “P.S. Adding season 17 to my IMDb. ????????”

The reality star’s fellow co-stars and Bravolebrities have since taken to the comments section to bid her farewell.

“BRAVO, Taylor ❤️❤️❤️❤️,” Andy Cohen wrote, before Tamra Judge added, “No ???? you will be missed Taylor. #friendsforever.”

Heather Dubrow echoed, “You will be missed Taylor ❤️ ,” while Jennifer Pedranti commented, “I love you SO much.”

Armstrong, who starred on the first three seasons of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, made Bravo history as the first Housewife to change franchises when she joined The Real Housewives of Orange County.

During her short stint on the show, she not only licked Emily Simpson‘s nipples and dared to go up against Dubrow, but she also revealed to the world that she is bisexual — and that she was in a five-year relationship with a woman before marrying her first husband.

“Most people are surprised to find out that I’m bisexual,” she said in her confessional. “Probably because just, like, stereotypes. I mean, it’s not something I broadcast, but I’m open to all people that have great souls and that you can love.”

While Armstrong is not returning, a source close to production told People that the rest of the Season 17 cast was brought back for Season 18, which is set to start filming in January.

It’s unclear why Armstrong departed from the series. Decider has reached out to reps for The Real Housewives of Orange County for comment, but did not hear back by the time of publication.
