The Handmaid’s Tale penultimate episode featured a major Easter egg for Swifties everywhere.

This week’s episode, titled “Execution,” features the premiere of a re-recorded version of Taylor Swift‘s “Reputation” song, “Look What You Made Me Do,” leading Swifties to believe that her highly anticipated album “Reputation (Taylor’s Version)” could finally be coming down the pipeline.

The song is featured in the opening scenes of the episode, immediately following the bloodbath at Serena Joy and Commander Wharton’s wedding. The episode picks up with June Osborne (Elisabeth Moss) marching away from the scene of the crime with a crowd of handmaids as sirens blare closer and closer to them. They just barely manage to escape, however, thanks to carefully planted explosives that stop the Gilead authorities from catching up to them. The revenge anthem perfectly underscores the brutal justice of what the handmaids just accomplished.

Does this mean Swift is finally ready to release the full Reputation (Taylor’s Version) album? Swifties seem to think so.

“SCREAMS GUYS A LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO SNIPPET REP TV IS A THING ITS ALIVE ITS THERE OMG,” one fan wrote on Instagram.

“I’M OBSESSED,” another fan commented on X, while someone else wrote: “Suddenly life is worth living.”

One fan said the same thing that was on all of our minds: “THIS HAS TO MEAN REP TV IS COMING SOON.”

Per Variety, “Reputation” has been eligible to be re-recorded since Nov. 2022, so fans have been waiting to hear when the album will get rereleased. But this premiere in The Handmaid’s Tale has reignited any hope Swifties had for new music.

Moss told Billboard Magazine ahead of this final season, “I’ve been wanting to use a Taylor song for many years on the show and we finally found the perfect spot for a track from her, and I’m so glad we waited because there could not be a more perfect song for a more perfect moment.”

“Taylor has been such an inspiration to me personally,” she said. “As a Swiftie myself, and I think I can speak for (costar) Yvonne (Strahovski) and our entire cast as well, who are all Swifties, it’s such an honor to be able to use her music in the final episodes of our show.”
