Given how some teams select some players, it can be startling how wrong teams get it in the NFL Draft.
Bad match. Bad chemistry. Bad interview that gets ignored. Warning signs that get glossed over. And it makes you wonder: How the heck did [insert team] go through the entire process and actually take [insert player] so high in the draft?
Sometimes a team gets it exactly right in anticipating what the potential problem areas might be with a prospect.
As the Giants evaluated and investigated Malik Nabers, they tried to do just that, to learn how the wide receiver operated on the field and what made him tick off the field. Looking back, it now appears the Giants correctly identified the player and person, his strengths and faults.
