Where to Stream:

The Crowded Room

Powered by Reelgood

The first three episodes of The Crowded Room premiered on Apple TV+ today, giving Tom Holland fans a whole new side of their favorite web-slinger. Holland, who also executive produces the limited series, plays Danny Sullivan, a troubled young man accused of plotting a shooting in 1979 New York City. Only one person seems to believe that Danny could be innocent, Rya Goodwin (Amanda Seyfried). We watch as she interviews Danny, attempting to peel back the layers of his backstory to explain how the people around him — including Sasha Lane‘s Ariana, Lior Raz‘s Yitzak, and Levon Hawke’s Jonny — could have set him up for disaster all while attempting to protect him.

The Crowded Room is loosely based on Daniel Keyes’s award-winning 1981 nonfiction book, The Minds of Billy Milligan, but it was created by A Beautiful Mind scribe Akiva Goldsman. The series attempts to look at mental illness from a new angle, which is why it focuses first and foremost on Danny and not his potential diagnosis. The first three episodes premiere on Apple TV+ today, but you’re going to have to wait a while for the truth of what’s going on to be finally teased out.

If you’ve binged your way through the first three episodes of The Crowded Room and are dying for more, here’s everything you need to know so you don’t miss future installments on Apple TV+…
