NextImg:The ‘clear’ sign your marriage is on its ‘deathbed,’ says expert

Are you headed for Splitsville? This is the one “clear” warning sign.

Life coach Rick Netshiozwi, who boats more than 348,000 TikTok followers, shared a viral video claiming a relationship is dead in the water when it becomes “void of touch.”

“You don’t hug each other anymore. The kissing is not the same anymore or it’s not done as frequently as it used to be done,” Netshiozwi explained in the clip, which clocked up 1.1 million views.

“When you sleep, the person’s half is their half, that other is your half. Your feet don’t even touch anymore,” he added, saying the relationship was thus on its “deathbed.”

Touch is a critical component for marriage,” Netshiozwi declared.

But not all viewers were convinced, with some suggesting those so-called red flags were just a “clear sign” that a couple want a “good night’s sleep.”

“We are both in our 50’s. We sleep in different bedrooms because we both snore. I can’t remember the last time we kissed,” wrote one married user. “35 years so far.”

“Or maybe they just achieved a new level of comfort and the next step in marriage,” said another, who claimed to have been married 30 years. “We already did all that, now we want our bedtime.”

“If my hubby were to touch my feet while I’m sleeping, we’ve got issues,” confessed another.

Other experts have weighed in on the various ways to “save” a marriage, from “sleep divorce” to allotting time for open communication every single day.

Just last month, life coach Aston Simmonds revealed the 5-minute routine she implemented in her mornings to reconnect with her hubby and salvage their relationship instead of divorcing.

Over a cup of coffee, she and her spouse have a transparent check-in about themselves and their partnership, which she said is “a relationship hack that keeps us connected.”
