If it was up to Kadary Richmond, St. John’s would clinch an outright Big East regular season title Wednesday.

He isn’t taking any joy in the possibility that it will happen against his old school Saturday at the Garden.

The Johnnies’ magic number to clinch the crown is two – any combination of their wins and Creighton losses.

But the Bluejays host league doormat DePaul on Wednesday, while seventh-ranked St. John’s (24-4, 15-2) visits Butler, so odds are it will happen against Seton Hall at MSG at the earliest.

“I wish it was anybody else,” the Red Storm’s star guard said over Zoom on Tuesday.

Kadary Richmond has been battling through injuries.

“I did a lot of good things over there. I got a lot of good relationships with some of their players still,” Richmond said.

“Celebrating in front of them and all that stuff wouldn’t be on my to-do list, but it will be done.”

The 6-foot-6 Richmond is dealing with groin pulls in each leg, but is planning to play against Butler.

The groins have bothered him since a Feb. 1 victory over Providence, yet he hasn’t missed any games.

He isn’t planning to sit out now, either.

RJ Luis, also hampered by a groin injury, is expected to be available as well.

He missed a win over DePaul last week, but returned in the victory over Connecticut on Sunday

“We started this all as one, so we’re going to finish it all as one,” Richmond said.

“If it’s not to the point where I feel like I have to sit out or miss anything, I’ll be out there.”
