Nico Collins is staying in Houston for a while.
The fourth-year wide receiver signed a three-year extension worth $72.5 million, according to multiple reports.
The deal includes $52 million guaranteed and a maximum value of $75 million, NFL.com reported.
Collins, a third-round pick in 2021, became a favorite of quarterback C.J. Stroud during a breakout 2023 season, catching 80 passes for 1,297 yards with eight touchdowns, all of which were career highs.
In his first two seasons before Stroud and head coach DeMeco Ryans’ arrival, Collins struggled to find his footing, bringing in a combined 70 receptions for 927 yards with three touchdowns while missing time with injuries.
Collins, 25, was set to become a free agent after the 2024 season.
The Collins extension adds to what’s been a busy offseason for the Texans.
The Texans made one of the biggest splashes of the offseason in April, acquiring wide receiver Stefon Diggs from the Bills for a 2025 second-round pick, adding to an already high-octane offensive attack.

Diggs joins Collins and Tank Dell in what is one of the most talented wide receiver corps in the NFL.
Before that, the team traded for Joe Mixon, who is expected to slot in as Houston’s No. 1 running back.
The team also bolstered its defense with the addition of pass rusher Danielle Hunter, signing the four-time Pro Bowler to a two-year, $49 million contract.
According to NFL Research, the Texans have become the first team in NFL history to bring in players who had 10-plus sacks, 1,000-plus rushing yards and 100-plus receptions the season before with the trio of moves.
The franchise’s big offseason comes after a surprising AFC South-winning 2023 campaign behind Stroud, the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, and Ryans, the NFL Coach of the Year runner-up.
The Texans went 10-7 — their best record since 2019 — before losing to the Ravens in the divisional round.
