Teresa Giudice and now-husband Luis “Louie” Ruelas just keep getting messier and messier. During the Real Housewives of New Jersey star’s appearance on Watch What Happens Live, she and Ruelas walked back their claim that he hired a private investigator to dig up dirt on her castmates.
The revelation came not once, but twice, during the show’s season finale on Wednesday night (May 16), when Ruelas shouted to Melissa Gorga that his “best friend” Bo Dietl — a famous private investigator — knows “shit about everyone in this room.”
He reiterated his statements the following day while speaking to Giudice, Dolores Catania and Jennifer Aydin, when he said Dietl “brought me information on each person in this group.”
However, the couple had a different story when they spoke to Andy Cohen during their visit to The Clubhouse.
“He did not do that. Why would he waste his money?” Giudice said, referring to her. “He did say it because he was frustrated. I mean, did you see what they were putting him through?”

Meanwhile, Ruelas — who was in the WWHL audience — said he was “at the end of [his] rope” when he made the claim on the season finale.
“That’s kind of an amazing thing to come up with out of nowhere,” Cohen said, to which Ruelas replied, “It is, actually. Isn’t it? I regret it though.”
After Cohen pointed out that Giudice had just defended him for “allowing his friend” to investigate the women moments before, she insisted that her husband did nothing wrong.
“First of all, do you know how much that would cost? How many people are on the cast to investigate each person? Do you think we would want to waste our money on that? No. I’d rather him waste his money on me,” she said.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey airs on Tuesday nights at 8/7c on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
