An out-of-control teenager who was featured on The Post’s front page kicking in a car window during Twitch star Kai Cenat’s chaotic PS5 giveaway-turned-riot last week was arrested on Wednesday, police said.
The 17-year-old-boy, who the NYPD did not name because he is a minor, was slapped with a host of charges, including criminal mischief and inciting a riot for his role in the 2,000-person melee that left three officers injured and blocked traffic near Union Square for hours on Aug. 4, cops said.
The young man — along with seven other teen boys who are still at large — damaged an NYPD vehicle parked in front of an antique shop on Broadway between East 12th Street and East 13th Street, police charged.
The mayhem started when Cenat, an influencer with over 20 million followers on Twitch, said he planned to hand out PS5s during an in-person meet up in Union Square at 3:30 p.m. that Friday, police said.
Thousands of teenagers turned up for the giveaway — which quickly turned violent when people started throwing bottles and construction cones, smashing car windows and brawling with each other, police said.
Described by police sources as an “all-out riot,” people were captured on video blocking streets, climbing on cars and screaming “F–k the PD” and “suck my d–k”.
The mayhem spread down Lafayette and Bleeker Streets, before NYPD stymied it around 6 p.m.
Police have made 67 arrests for the riot as of Wednesday afternoon.
The 17-year-old arrested Wednesday was also charged with obstruction of governmental administration, rioting, unlawful assembly and disorderly conduct, police said.
Cenat, meanwhile, is facing charges of inciting a riot and unlawful assembly.
Among those still being sought by the NYPD are two other teens accused of hurling construction barrels at an officer.
It’s not clear if any PS5s were actually handed out.
