The Chiefs’ star tight end shook off a potential injury scare right before halftime, only to return and hook up for a 4-yard touchdown with Patrick Mahomes in the third quarter against the Vikings on Sunday.
Swift didn’t make the trip to Minnesota to watch her rumored boyfriend Kelce this week, and things didn’t turn out well early for the Chiefs tight end.
Kelce suffered a non-contact injury to his right foot and left the game with 1:12 to go before the break.
He caught a pass from Mahomes along the right side, took two steps and crumbled to the ground.
Kelce tried to get up but appeared to have trouble putting full weight on the leg.
He gingerly walked about to the locker room after throwing his helmet down in frustration with the Chiefs and Broncos tied at 13-13.
Kelce returned to the game after halftime and looked no worse for wear.
He has 10 catches for 67 yards with the game heading to the fourth quarter with Kanas City up 27-13.
Swift’s budding romance with Kelce has set the sports and entertainment world on fire in recent weeks.
The Grammy Award-winning pop star has attended the past two Chiefs games at Arrowhead Stadium and MetLife Stadium, respectively, both Kansas City wins.
