Wimbledon 2025 is in full swing across the pond, already delighting tennis fans with startling upsets, terrific tiebreaks, and countless drone shots of Brits queuing up for strawberries and cream.

Grand Slam tennis is so fun because you’re not only watching the world’s top athletes give it their all, but you’re watching who’s in the stands watching them. Top-seeded American mens player Taylor Fritz‘s girlfriend Morgan Riddle has been sparking chatter from the stands of the All-English Tennis Club thanks to her cool outfits and even cooler social media commentary.

Thanks to Fritz’s stressful two-day five-set opening match against rising French star Giovanni Mpetschi Perricard, Wimby watchers not only got to check out two adorably on brand outfits from the fashionista, but we also got a rare glimpse into how stressful the mood was in Fritz’s box. Riddle posted a story on her Instagram account, cheekily named @moorrgs, that shared her “body has experienced more stress than usual” on June 30. Riddle commented, “huh wonder why.”

Fritz survived the final set on July 1, positioning him to face Canadian player Gabriel Diallo in Round 2 on July 2. More importantly, Fritz is now playing a wide open quarter of the tournament thanks to a string of massive Round 1 upsets. All of this means that we could be seeing more “Moorrgs” court side at Wimbledon over the next two weeks.

I, for one, welcome the rise of our new favorite Wimbledon WAG and here’s why…

I first became a fan of Morgan Riddle while covering the Netflix docuseries Break Point. Filmed in conjunction with the ATP and WTA, the show was designed to hype the “next” generation of tennis stars coming up after Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Serena Williams. The show was a misfire thanks to a combination of bad timing and meh storylines, but one rising power couple did make a good showing: Taylor Fritz and Morgan Riddle.

After watching Break Point, the only thing I missed from the show that I wasn’t getting from actual tennis journalism was, in fact, Morgan Riddle. (Do I still wonder if her Season 2 comment to Fritz that Jannik Sinner was “cute” came back to haunt her ahead of their 2024 U.S. Open final? YES. YES, I DO.)

So what makes Riddle’s YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok so addictive? Well, she somehow threads the needle on being both incredibly aspirational and bizarrely relatable. She gets to wear major fashion labels and jet set around the world, but she also is open about her battles with anxiety and the stuff that makes her giggle with friends. She’s got a really fun sense of humor — once mocking Fritz for defending their AirBnB from a break in by grabbing his racket over a kitchen knife — and is there for the girls. Her travels are full of her fave ladies, from fellow fashion influencers to the likes of Summer House alum Paige DeSorbo and Frances Tiafoe’s equally loveable boo, Ayan Broomfield.

Riddle’s YouTube videos following her travels with Fritz on the tour are part confessional, part travel guide, part behind-the-scenes of being an influencer, part unvarnished look at dating a pro tennis player. She shares the whole spectrum of her experiences — from being literally at the Vatican museum when Pope Leo XIV was announced to listening to Fritz’s unique tennis superstitions — with followers.

She might look like a just another pretty face, but Morgan Riddle’s humor is sharp, her reading list full, and her social media strategy brimming with savvy.

Essentially, Morgan Riddle is cool because she’s the best of both worlds. She is that well-heeled lady cheering on her man, but she’s also an entrepreneur who fosters kitties and encourages her followers to be curious, kind, and feminist. She is that “it girl” that you can trick yourself into believe you could be friends with because she’s funneling content onto the internet that has real personality.

All of which is to say if you like tennis, beauty, gossip, world travel, wellness, kittens, or fashion, you’ve got to get hip to Moorrgs.

Here’s hoping Taylor Fritz has a great Wimbledon 2025 run, for both American men’s tennis and our Morgan Riddle-filled timelines.
