Two men have been charged with attempted murder following the shooting of Broncos wide receiver Josh Reynolds after he left a strip club in Denver earlier this month.

Luis Mendoza, 35, and Burr Charlesworth, 42, face a litany of charges in the incident.

Multiple cars followed Reynolds out of Shotgun Willie’s outside of Denver and opened fire on the highway.

Reynolds, 29, was shot in the arm and back of the head and suffered what were deemed to be “minor” injuries as one of his friends was shot in the back and another suffered wounds from broken glass.

Mendoza and Charlesworth both face six counts of attempted first-degree murder, six counts of first-degree assault and three counts of illegal discharge of a firearm, according to Denver-area NBC affiliate 9News.

Mendoza also faces three counts of drug possession, four counts of weapons possession by a previous offender and one count of possession of a large capacity magazine.

Surveillance video from the strip club showed Mendoza appearing to be casing Reynolds’ group, and several cars following them when they left the strip club.

Reynolds’ Ford Bronco was discovered on the side of the highway, riddled with bullet holes.

Mendoza remains in jail with a cash-bail set at $300,000 while Charlesworth was released on $100,000 bail.

Charlesworth told police that he’d been enlisted to help a friend who had a previous conflict with the group of victims.

He denied shooting in the incident.
