Bradley Beal’s future in Phoenix may be coming to an end.
The Suns are looking to either buy him out of his contract or trade Beal, one Phoenix sports radio host believes, in the wake of the massive trade of Kevin Durant to the Rockets earlier on Sunday.
Sports radio host John Gambadoro said during an appearance on “The Kevin O’Connor Show” that Beal’s days were numbered.
“Bradley Beal is not going to be on this team,” Gambadoro said. “They will either trade him or they will buy him out … I don’t think there’s any scenario where Bradley Beal comes back and plays for the Suns.”
The comment matches what had been reported by The Athletic, which indicated the Durant trade was not going to be the only move made by the Suns and that the organization is “expected to try and part ways with Beal.”
That could be a bit of a challenge, however, as noted by the outlet, since Beal is owed nearly $111 million over the next two years and he has a no-trade clause in his contract.
The Suns had been exploring moving Beal last season as well.

While the Suns had high hopes for Beal when he first arrived, things have not panned out the way the organization would have hoped.
Beal has averaged 17.6 points per game in two seasons with the Suns and has missed 58 games during that span as well.
He had been one of the better scorers in the NBA and is a three-time NBA All-Star who averaged 30 points per game.
Even before he arrived, Beal had seen his points per game dip, averaging 23.2 points in his last two seasons with the Wizards and missing 78 games.
Sunday marked the end of one saga with the trade of Durant and Beal could be the next player on the way out.
