Created by Katie Robbins (The Affair, The Last Tycoon) and directed by Lucy Tcherniak (Station Eleven, The End of the F***ing World), the compelling thriller with a dark comedic edge is produced by A24 and based on Colin O’Sullivan’s novel, The Dark Manual.

Per Apple TV+’s Sunny synopsis, “As ‘consolation’ [Suzie is] given Sunny, one of a new class of domestic robots made by her husband’s electronics company. Though at first, Suzie resents Sunny’s attempts to fill the void in her life, gradually they develop an unexpected friendship. Together they uncover the dark truth of what really happened to Suzie’s family and become dangerously enmeshed in a world Suzie never knew existed.”

Apple TV+’s new A24 series Sunny premieres on Wednesday, July 10.

The first season of Sunny consists of ten episodes. After the first two episodes premiere on Wednesday, July 10, the series will follow a weekly release schedule until its September 4 finale.

As noted above, new episodes of Sunny will premiere weekly on Wednesdays until the finale. That said, Apple TV+ often releases new episodes at 8:00 p.m. ET the night ahead of designated premiere dates, so if you’re extra eager to watch, keep your eyes peeled for new Sunny episodes on Tuesday night.
