


NFL Preseason football has finally arrived as we eagerly await the start of the 2024-2025 regular season. The action begins on Thursday, September 5 when Patrick Mahomes and the defending champs host Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday Night Football.
Week 1 also features a new Friday night game as the Green Bay Packers travel to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles (8:15 p.m. ET on Peacock). The opening week concludes with a battle between the NFC West and AFC East as Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets travel across the country to play Brock Purdy and the San Francisco 49ers. But what about Sunday Night Football? Great question.

Three Sunday night games will air during the 2024 preseason.
On Sunday, August 18, the Green Bay Packers battle the Denver Broncos (8:00 p.m. ET on NFL Network and NFL+) and the San Francisco 49ers host the New Orleans Saints (8:00 p.m. ET on FOX). The following week, August 25, the New England Patriots go on the road to face the Washington Commanders (8:00 p.m. ET on NBC).
The first regular season SNF game of the 24-25 season takes place Sunday, September 8 when the Lions host the Rams.
Sunday Night Football will once again air on NBC, NBCSports.com, Peacock Premium, and NFL+. Here’s the current schedule for the regular season, but the NFL’s flex scheduling could impact some of the later games.
