Ferris Bueller’s Day Off star Alan Ruck has spoken out for the first time since he caused a multi-car crash on Tuesday (Oct. 31) that resulted in him crashing his truck into a pizzeria.
The actor, who is also known for his work on HBO’s Succession, was spotted outside of a convenience store by photographers when he gave his first statement since the crash.
“I’m fine,” he told TMZ. “Thank God nobody was killed.”
Ruck was reportedly walking with a slight limp, though he denied that it was a result from the accident.
“This wasn’t because of the accident, this is because I’m getting old,” he said.
Security footage from the scene of the crash showed Ruck’s Rivian hit two cars, pushing one into the intersection, before crashing into the pizzeria.
This is the first time Ruck has spoken out since the crash occurred.

It is still unclear what caused the crash. The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the accident, though there is reportedly no suspicion of DUI.
The crash left two people injured — a 25-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman, per Page Six — but no serious injuries have been otherwise reported.
Local business owner Tim Ratcliffe told KTLA that he spoke to the actor at the scene of the crash.
“I asked him, ‘Are you OK?’ And the first thing out of his mouth was, ‘Is everyone (else) OK? I think I hit someone. Is he OK?’” he said.
Ratcliffe added that the crash caused the whole building to shake, adding, “I thought a bomb or something had exploded.”
According to TMZ, the truck has already been removed from the crash site and the side of the pizzeria has been boarded up.
