You might get sanwiched in this “sandwich.”

Subway recently unveiled a promotional, traveling 180-foot-long blimp in the shape of its new half-pound sandwich called The Beast — and it doubles as a floating restaurant suspended 1,000 feet above the ground.

But the “Subway in the Sky” — which will have traveled to three cities nationwide by the end of the month — might leave a bad taste in your mouth.

“I had thought there would be more space inside the blimp, which was described as a ‘dining experience taking to the skies.’ Instead, I found myself sandwiched inside the sandwich — two rows of four seats, just a few feet behind the cockpit,” said Kansas City Star reporter Joseph Hernandez.

“It was just enough space to eat from the Subway lunchbox with four of their signature sandwiches inside if you were brave enough to eat.”

Before climbing aboard, passengers are gifted a lunchbox filled with samples of the chain’s four new “Deli Hero” sandwiches — The Beast (pepperoni, salami, turkey, ham, roast beef, and double Provolone cheese) Titan Turkey, Grand Slam Ham and Garlic Roast Beef — that they can munch on while midair.

Subway in the Sky already landed in Kansas City, Missouri, just in time for the NFL Kickoff game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Detroit Lions at Arrowhead Stadium, and reservations sold out in 17 minutes.

It will continue to make stops in Orlando and Miami in Florida as part of the Eat Fresh Refresh launch the company, which started in 1965, began in 2021 in an effort to improve its menu offerings and dining experiences.

Subway — which is headquartered in Milford, Conn. — operates 37,000 restaurants in 100 countries and is the second largest fast food chain in the world after McDonald’s.

Last month, it was bought by private equity firm Roark Capital for $9.6 billion.
