Someone finally poked the sleeping Tigers, and they responded.
After blowing a 15 ¹/₂-game lead (and the division) to the Guardians, the Cats had to win two of three in Cleveland.
They did.
Jumpin’ Jack Flaherty kept the still dormant Tigers in the game by allowing just one run over 4 ²/₃ innings.
Not sure what happened in the Detroit dugout (maybe they ran out of sunflower seeds), but the Tigers got angry and began to hit.
Dillon Dingler homered.
Wenceel Pérez knocked in two more runs, and the Redeem Team pushed by the stubborn Guards.
Final: 6-3.
Not only did we have the Cats scratching out a victory in Game 3.
We had them winning the Series ($100) as well.
Factor in our $100 bet on the Dodgers eliminating the Reds (gotta believe the Mutts would have put up a better fight) and we are suddenly down just -296 alantrammells with two wild-card series still in the balance.
