NextImg:Steve Martin and Martin Short announce 2025 tour, NY show. Get tickets

When they’re not solving murders at The Arconia or sharing the stage at the “SNL50” anniversary show, they’re on the road.

Steve Martin and Martin Short — aka Charles-Haden Savage and Oliver Putnam — just announced the latest leg of their ongoing ‘Dukes of Funnytown Tour.’

Set to take place from August through December, the legendarily silly pair will wrap their 21-show outing on the East Coast with gigs at Albany, NY’s Palace Theatre on Thursday, Dec. 4 and Wallingford, CT’s Toyota Oakdale Theatre on Friday, Dec. 5.

This upcoming iteration of the tour is a continuation of Martin and Short’s long-running tandem act. Based on our findings, the funny duo has been touring together since 2015 flinging insults at each other, playing banjo, revisiting Jiminy Glick (1!) and tossing out gags at a rapid-fire pace with little setup and big punchlines (that) mock Hollywood and the fickle nature of celebrity” according to a press release.

Past tours of their include the goofily-named ‘A Very Stupid Conversation,’ ‘The Funniest Show in Town at the Moment,’ ‘You Won’t Believe What They Look Like Today!’ and ‘Now You See Them, Soon You Won’t.’

What will they take to the stage this time? Jokes about Short’s blossoming romance with Meryl Streep? Bits mocking Martin’s “SNL50” monologue? While we can’t say for certain, we do know the best way to see what these showbiz insiders have up their sleeve is live.

Fans can purchase tickets for all upcoming Steve Martin and Martin Short shows on sites like Vivid Seats; the official on-sale for the latest ‘Dukes of Funnytown’ shows is Friday, March 7.

Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

SPOILERS AHEAD.

With four seasons — and four suspicious deaths solved — under their belts, the “Only Murders” crew will investigate yet another untimely passing in their fifth go-round.

As of now, there is no release date for the next installment but the forthcoming season will likely revolve around getting to the bottom of what happened to Lester the Doorman (Teddy Coluca) while exploring themes like New York history.

“We were talking earlier today about what’s New York right now,” “OMITB” co-creator John Hoffman told Deadline. “So there is a classic version of that, and then what does it look like today? That’s intriguing to me.”

And, in a show known for splashy guest stars, there’s already at least one confirmed for season five in Téa Leoni, who appeared briefly in the Season Four finale.

“I think she’s the great tease at the end of the finale and a little bit of an intriguing bump forward,” Hoffman shared. “She’s an extension of the little news report in Episode 9 that Mabel makes note of at the hospital. [Sofia] is the wife of the Dry Cleaning King of Brooklyn, and maybe a couple of dry cleaning outlets in Manhattan, as well, we may come to know.”

“I think there are references to what Oliver [Martin Short] said when he dealt with financing for his shows; so, yeah, there may be some crossover that way. Potentially, some danger could be involved in helping. There are some moves that might come in Season 5 that change the whole equation.”

Setting the tone for “SNL50” was no easy task. In order to match the moment, the presenter needed to be biting, of the old guard and relevant in today’s comedy landscape. Of course, Steve Martin was the only logical choice to deliver the monologue.

In just under seven minutes, with the help of John Mulaney, Martin Short and more, the funnyman got off great lines about “the Gulf of Steve Martin” and “how a person born during the first season of ‘Saturday Night Live” could be dead from natural causes.”
